It's funny how life works out sometimes; all the strange coincidences along the way. Or is it something more? Is there some sort of order behind what seems to be chaos at times? Is there a reason for so many struggles? Is there a purpose for everything and everyone? Does everything really happen for a reason? I guess we can honestly say that life is full of questions; that life is a quest. A quest for what though? Will we ever really know the purpose or meaning behind every little detail or unusual circumstance in our journey upon the earth? Okay, so that last part sounds a little cheezy, but I wonder what percentage of people have ever pondered that very question...I wonder how many books have been written to try and explain "the meaning of life" or "how to find your purpose". I wonder how many books have been written since the beginning of time. I mean just stop and think about it. Thousands of years, and thousands of people writing; I think we can safely say we'd never be able to read all the books ever written.
I've read many books. Some I had to; others I chose to. Some I couldn't finish; others I read more than once. There is only one book that always amazes me; the Holy Bible. It's really not that big, and yes, I have read it more than once. It's an amazing book really; and the history behind it is even more fascinating. But my favorite thing about the Bible is the author. It was hand written by many men, but they were all divinely inspired by the same author. And that author is the same person who has written the story of my life. He wrote the story of every person's life. And this is where I say, "I don't understand it; but I believe it." I have found no other book that has given me reason to live and hope. It's full of wisdom and radical teachings. It's full of history and amazing people. It holds the secret truth to eternal life. If you haven't already, please get one and read it. Ask that truth be revealed to you as you read, and I know that it will. If you really want to enjoy it, find a good, sound bible study group and read it with others who are seeking truth. Get to know the author of your life; I know that you will be encouraged and challenged to live your life with new purpose and meaning.
